HI, I'M MEGHAN!
My whole life, I’ve been searching for that sweet spot where all my passions and identities converge. As someone with a boundless curiosity and an open mind, I embrace every opportunity to gain new experiences. Thankfully, the world of journalism has allowed this part of me to flourish.
My background is a kaleidoscope of identities and a myriad of interests. I grew up listening to stories of my mother’s journey from China to America in the 1990s and the legacy of my father’s Cuban lineage deeply rooted in the dynamic history of Southern California. Being multicultural – the embodiment of two histories representing immigrants who came to this country both 200 years ago and 20 years ago – has always shaped the core of who I am. My whole life I have navigated what it means to be multicultural in America, and I take pride in the ways that I have formed my own identity beyond that duality.
This past year, I graduated from Boston University with a degree in journalism. Throughout my academic journey, I discovered my passion for the combination of both creative and technical – creativity in storytelling and technicality in using multimedia platforms to do so. Presented here is a compilation of my work over the past few years, exploring multimedia forms of journalism. Please reach out if you would like to learn more about my work, I’m always happy to connect!
